The short version
- Heardo is a free, invite-only beta. It will change, it may break, and it comes as it is.
- What you say, write and attach stays yours. You let us handle it only to run Heardo for you.
- Heardo sends your recordings and their text to Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock) to turn them into to-dos. Amazon doesn’t train AI on them.
- AI can get things wrong. Check what matters.
- Don’t use Heardo to break the law or to harm people or the service.
- You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time.
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Graviti (“we”, “us”), which makes Heardo. [Abhay: Graviti’s full legal name, the country it is registered in, and a postal address]
They cover the Heardo app for iPhone, the Heardo web app, the Heardo server they talk to, and connecting AI apps to Heardo over MCP. Our privacy policy says what we collect and what we do with it, and is part of these terms. By signing in to Heardo, you agree to both.
Who may use Heardo
Heardo is in a free beta, open only to people we invite, for example through Apple’s TestFlight. You may use it while your invitation stands. Please don’t pass your invitation on.
You must be at least 13, or the minimum age your country sets if that is higher, and able to agree to these terms where you live. [Abhay: confirm the minimum age; the privacy policy says 13]
You may use Heardo for yourself, including for your work. Your account is for one person.
Your account
You open an account on iPhone, by signing in with Apple or Google. The web app signs in to that same account; it doesn’t open new ones.
Keep your phone and your Apple or Google sign-in secure: what happens in your account is your responsibility. If you think someone else has got in, sign out your other devices (on iPhone, open the menu, then Account; on the web, Settings › Account) and tell us at help@graviti.inc.
The beta
- It’s free. There are no payments, subscriptions or ads in the beta. If Heardo ever charges, we will tell you first, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
- It will change. Features may come, change or go, sometimes without notice.
- It may break. Expect bugs and times when it’s unavailable. Something could be lost, so keep anything important somewhere else too. Export my data makes a copy of your to-dos, categories, Dictionary and transcripts.
- It has limits, such as how many recordings you can make in a day and how long each can be, so that it stays fair and affordable to run. We may change them.
- It may end. If we stop the beta, we will tell you beforehand where we can, and give you time to export your data.
Your content
Your recordings, transcripts, to-dos, notes, images, categories and Dictionary (your content) are yours. We claim no ownership of them.
To run Heardo, we need your permission to handle your content, so you give Graviti a licence to store, copy, process and transmit it, including to our AI provider and to the AI apps you choose to connect, only as needed to provide Heardo to you and to keep it working and safe. The licence is worldwide and free of charge, because our servers and providers are in more than one country and you pay nothing. It ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from the short time copies stay in backups, as the privacy policy says.
We don’t sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
You are responsible for your content. Make sure you have the right to record and upload it, and ask people before you record them where the law requires it.
AI providers
Heardo uses Amazon Bedrock, an AI service run by Amazon Web Services (AWS), to transcribe your recordings, turn them into to-dos and file them, to write morning briefings if you turn them on, and to suggest categories and words in “Make Heardo yours”. AWS acts as our service provider. Today the models are Amazon’s own Nova models; we may use other models Amazon Bedrock offers.
Amazon doesn’t use your content to train AI models, and doesn’t share it with the companies that make the models. We send your content to no other AI company. If that ever changes, we will update these terms and the privacy policy, and ask you, before any of it is sent. The privacy policy says exactly what is sent and how long anything is kept.
AI makes mistakes. A transcript can mishear a name, and a to-do can get the wrong date, the wrong category or the wrong meaning. Check what matters, especially reminders and alarms you depend on, before you rely on them.
Using Heardo fairly
Don’t use Heardo to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it
- record people secretly, or store what you have no right to store
- harass, threaten or harm anyone
- get into accounts or systems that aren’t yours, or test our security without asking us first
- overload, disrupt or get around the limits of the service, including through MCP or automated requests
- copy, resell or take apart Heardo, except where the law lets you
- build or train a competing AI model from what Heardo returns
If you find a security problem, please tell us at help@graviti.inc.
AI apps you connect
Heardo is an MCP server. When you connect ChatGPT, Claude or another app that speaks MCP, you allow that app to read your Heardo data and, if you choose read & write, to change it. That app is run by someone else, under their own terms and privacy policy, and we aren’t responsible for what it does. You can disconnect it at any time.
Heardo itself
Heardo’s apps, server, name, logo and design belong to Graviti. We give you a personal permission to use them under these terms, which you can’t transfer to anyone else.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, and we don’t owe you anything for them. Thank you: during a beta, they matter most.
No promises, and limits
Heardo is a free beta, so it is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises about it, written or implied: not that it will be available, accurate, secure or free of errors, or suit any purpose. Don’t rely on it alone for anything where a missed or wrong reminder could cause harm, such as medicine or safety.
As far as the law allows, Graviti isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability to you for anything to do with Heardo is limited to [Abhay: a cap, for example USD 50].
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that the law says can’t be taken away, or limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Leaving, and ending
You can stop using Heardo at any time. To delete your account: on iPhone, open the menu, then Account › Delete account; on the web, Settings › Account › Delete account. Deleting takes effect at once, can’t be undone, and removes your data as the privacy policy describes. Step by step.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or when the beta ends. Unless it’s for serious abuse or the law stops us, we will tell you first and give you time to export your data.
The parts of these terms that by their nature should last, such as “Your content”, “No promises, and limits” and “Law and disputes”, still apply after your account ends.
Apple
If you use Heardo on iPhone, Apple’s terms for the App Store or TestFlight also apply. These terms are between you and Graviti, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for Heardo, its content, or supporting it; for help, come to us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Heardo changes. We will update the date at the top, and for a change that matters, tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Heardo after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, stop using Heardo and delete your account.
Law and disputes
[Abhay: the law that governs these terms, and whose courts hear disputes]
If something goes wrong, email us first. Most problems are quicker to solve that way.
